Artist Statement – Sunset in the evening landscape scene
Sunset in the evening landscape scene is an 40*50 cm oil on canvas . I was inspired to paint this scene from the photo I gathered on the way back from my trip to Salalah from Muscat . I clubbed a couple of sky photographs taken of the same scene with different land scenes , the scene with marsh to have a better effect of reflection on water . tried to capture the glow of light in the scene .Applied a couple of light glazes to make it more experimental .
Plein air painting the sky is such a challenging task with every seconds changing skies ,
Every sunset is different ,every day the sky is different ,this subject
in itself can have endless possibilities.
