Artist Statement – Metals Still Life Art
This painting is 30 * 20 cm or 11.8*7.87 inches of oil on unprimed canvas .This painting is a part of the Art Challenge series painted on day 16.I have used Alla Prima techniques to finish the painting .
The setup is taken from my kitchen utility to canvas . This subject metals used for cooking and storing food is a part of everyday Indian household routine may be in other cultures as well . We see them everyday but I see them as a work of art .Afterall the art happens in the mind of the person seeing them.
