Artist Statement – Book with Flower Still Life Art
This painting is 30 * 20 cm or 11.8*7.87 inches of oil on unprimed canvas .This painting is a part of the Art Challenge series painted on day 18.I have used Alla Prima techniques to finish the painting .
The setup is taken from my book collection to canvas . This subject of the book is a part of everyday observation and I added a flower on top to challenge the perspective in the art challenge series . We see them everyday but I see them as a work of art and play with the daily subject matters .After All the art happens in the mind of the person seeing them.
