Artist Statement – Copper Glass and an Egg Still Life Art
This painting is 30 * 20 cm or 11.8*7.87 inches of oil on unprimed canvas .This painting is a part of the Art Challenge series painted on day 29. I have used Alla Prima techniques to finish the painting.
The setup is taken from my kitchen utility to canvas . This subject of a glass of water in a copper glass is a part of everyday routine and egg is here the favorite for my son . Basically I was trying to make a monochrome composition . We see objects everyday but I see them as a work of art .Afterall the art happens in the mind of the person seeing them.
